Property Overview

The Roselawn Colonial Village was the first multi-family garden apartment concept development in Cincinnati. The buildings and site were surveyed in 2010 and determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places for its distinctive characteristics of Colonial Revival architecture and construction. As a mid-20th century suburban garden apartment complex, it is distinguished by its sophisticated triangular plan, remarkable sensitivity to site and high level of integrity. The well preserved apartment buildings are varied yet harmonious in style and include many original features characteristic of the Colonial Revival mode including pediments, parapets and cupolas.

Roselawn Village Apartments is a community in Cincinnati’s Roselawn neighborhood, located in a booming area of Cincinnati surrounded by $270 million in recently completed development projects. Built in 1949, it is a unique and masterful combination of Georgina colonial style historic brick buildings and contemporary retro style apartments and townhomes occupying a triangular site of approximately seven acres of mature trees and shrubs. The village’s site plan incorporates many townhome-apartment features such as winding streets following the contours of the land, gently terraced slopes that serve as front lawns and shared recreation spaces, and interconnecting walkways that focus on the pedestrian experience. Primary building entrances are oriented around a common courtyard.

It is a perfect fusion of old and new. Roselawn Village has an extensive variety of floor plans to accommodate families of all sizes. Amenities include stainless steel kitchen counters, new appliances, ceramic tile in all bathrooms, townhomes have laundry connections and one single-car oversized garage with direct, internal access, and the grounds have a “park-like” setting with ample greenspace for children and pets.
